DuoMo Hotel, Via g. Bruno 28, 47921 Rimini, Italy
This hotel was another amazing find. We booked one night online, trusting our gut instinct and wow! Upon arrival we immediately booked a second night as we knew this was going to be something very special.
“What would please Me Most in a hotel is not soMeone else’s idea of chic, elegance of style, but rather coMfort, clarity and ease of access to inforMation, entertainMent and aMbience.” Ron Arad
It has a fantastic location, in a very cool part of town – first plus point. It’s part of a very small chain of independent, boutique hotels (designed by architect Ron Arad), and the attention to design detail is fabulous. The reception area is something else & gives you a good idea of how cool the rooms might be! Our room was definitely one of the most memorable we stayed in, when travelling around Italy. Mood lighting, rubber flooring, inventive use of space/lighting/mirrors and a lovely decked area outside with funky furniture. Wi-fi was excellent, too. Breakfast was another treat – lots of choice, all presented in a way that is very reflective of the style of the hotel. There is also an honesty bar, located in the corridor – a lovely idea, and very indicative of the kind of people behind this concept hotel.
We got a fantastic deal for our two night stay, just be doing a little bit of online research, and now that we know about DuoMo Hotel, we will definitely be returning to this one next time in Rimini. Which, by the way, if you don’t know, is a fantastic city!
Rimini is one of those wonderful cities that combines everything, effortlessly – historical centre, swanky new shopping area and an enormous beach. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the beach, but almost slap-bang in the historical centre.
