Described as “modern contemporary fully furnished apartments right in the heart of the historical Center of Málaga” on the website, Liborio Apartments are perfect for a short stay in this vibrant Andalucian city. Located right in the middle of the historic centre, you couldn’t be better placed for exploring, eating and drinking. Although on a busy pedestrianised street – Calle Liborio – the apartments are on the fourth floor of a typical Spanish building, and once inside, very quiet. The building, although still retaining its history, has clearly been modernised, so the communal areas are spotlessly clean. The three apartments (with the company’s serviced office on the same floor, which is good to know if you have any issues) are renovated to a very high standard – certainly, the one we were allocated, was excellent.
We had a double bedroom, again with an exceptionally comfortable bed, which we have realised is just the absolute norm in Europe, a gleaming bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a big living room – very tastefully & comfortably furnished, with a big, chunky sofa, TV, table & chairs – and a very well equipped kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher. Free wi-fi was very strong, and unlike many places we’ve stayed, did not drop off at any point. The apartment also has air-con – very necessary in the heat of Malaga.
Urban Living, the very small chain who own the apartments, can also be found in Granada, Madrid and Marbella – we’ll definitely be checking these out on next visits to these cities. Very recommended accommodation at very reasonable prices. (Two nights accommodation in April cost us €162).
